SIA TET that won the tender “Provision of paid TV services in the terrestrial broadcasting” (result approved by 18 June 2013 Cabinet order) ensures broadcasting of paid TV programs in Latvia. SIA TET will continue providing these services until 31 December 2021.
The LVRTC distributes paid TV programs in the terrestrial broadcasting range at the request of TET. Paid programs are available in 94% of the country.
The TV broadcasting in Latvia is monitored by the Ministry of Transport, broadcasting frequencies are coordinated and granted by SJSC Elektroniskie sakari, while the national list of free programs is approved by the National Electronic Media Council.
