LVRTC will participate in Techritory 2025, hosting sessions and events that showcase our work on advanced quantum communication infrastructure and the strategic role of quantum technologies in Europe. Deploying advanced national QCI systems and networks | October 22, 15:00–18:00 As Europe prepares for the quantum era, today’s communication systems face increasing risks from cyberattacks and the future power of quantum computing. Dependence on non-European technologies can undermine trust in critical digital services and weaken strategic autonomy. This session will present the outcomes of the project “Development of experimental quantum communication infrastructure in Latvia”, including the creation of a national-level experimental QKD network integrated with partner communication systems.   • Practical realities of implementing quantum networks—from technical readiness to operational challenges
  • The potential of the quantum internet
  • Latvia’s progress under the Quantum Memorandum of Understanding, advancing national cooperation
  • The intersection of quantum technologies and AI
Through presentations and interactive dialogue, participants will explore regional and international collaboration opportunities, strengthening resilience, security, and digital sovereignty.
